The Call to the Beloved (online)

The image of ‘the beloved' in other traditions can be seen to represent the heart’s longing for union with the truth, but what does this mean in Buddhist teachings? We could see the Buddhist path as a journey of homecoming. Kindness, awareness and understanding awaken our heart, and we come closer to what feels true and aligned for us. Using poetic stanzas from the Buddhist teachings we contemplate this heartful desire to experience the beloved residing in our hearts, and explore what supports its resolution.
