Our struggles in life arise because of an innocent misunderstanding about the way things are. When things are difficult, we often blame ourselves, judge ourselves, or think we should be better at dealing with life.
Meeting ourselves with kindness and meeting all experience with kindness is necessary so that we can begin to relax and release the physical and psychological patterning that keeps us trapped in our struggles – both in our meditation practice and in our lives.
Relating more kindly to the conditions of the moment helps us to see the nature of our struggles, and to discover greater ease and contentment.
This day includes meditation instructions, periods of sitting and walking meditation, as well as a Dharma talk. |
