| In this retreat, held within a container of silence, we explore and discover the essential ‘zenness’ of life. Alongside the principle practice of sitting meditation (in Zen this is known as ‘zazen’) we pay attention to - Body, in a series of movements coming from Chi Kung, T’ai Chi and Aikido; Speech, and voice, in a series of meditative vocal exercises and chanting; Mind, in zazen and in dialogues that relate practice to our daily lives. We also explore some aspects of Zen practice, such as Zen forms and ceremonies. |
