"There are these five facts that one should reflect on often, whether one is a woman or a man, lay or ordained.” (Upajjhatthana Sutta)
One of the general methods the Buddha taught for gaining insight, in addition to meditation, was contemplation.
The evening begins with a brief overview of contemplation, followed by a guided contemplation of the Five Daily Reflections found in the Upajjhatthana Sutta (AN 5.57).
