Easing into the Middle Way

The Buddha’s teachings invite us away from the extremes to the easeful freedom of the middle way. The Dharma path is endlessly subtle and refined, but also accessible and tangible right now.

Shantideva defines the middle way as “complete non-referential ease.” How would it be to neither grasp onto, nor reject the dance of appearances; to neither inflate our sense of importance, nor diminish our sense of value; to find space and well-being between the habitual play of opposites?

May we feel a warm invitation to engage with sensitivity and purpose into the middle of the middle way.
